3B Ranch was established in 1995, by Terri and Gerry Bruening, and their five children, Matthew, Gerry Jr., Erinn, Rachel, and Jason. This is a family owned and run ranch currently located in Calhan, Colorado. The ranch currently is home to 23 llamas, 9 horses, a miniature goat, and four wanna-be ranch dogs. The love for these graceful animals started after attending the '95 Fort Worth Stock Show. The family was attending a Quarter Horse show and upon its finish there was an announce that a llama performance class would start next. The eldest son begged to stay and watch the show, and then the love for these animals was born and family acquired their first llama, a young male cria, named Esau. After a few years the family purchased their first female named Blackstar, creating the first breeding pair for the ranch. The ranch soon grew to what is seen currently and is growing with new additions yearly.
